Here’s the whole itinerary… still a work in progress up to the day, but it includes the hiking plans, menu and grocery list down to the item count. If you’re as crazy as I am, by all means feel free to check my math, suggest a meal switch, compare grocery list to menu plan — all of the things I will be checking and re-checking over the next week and a half.
Supply list is probably incomplete, as I’ve been collecting stuff and storing it all in the same spot. No way I can miss anything if I already have it, but I may have forgotten to write it down, ya know? Still, if you see something missing from the list, I am open to any and all corrections or suggestions!

HI! Just reading your blog about your upcoming Isle Royale solo trip up the Minong ridge. Actually got it off a ‘google alerts’ for IRNP. I bet you can’t wait! Tick tock…tick tock….. I totally understand, I am set to leave July 2nd through the 11th and it’s like all I fucking think about. Your trip sounds like a great one and I know you are going to love it. Take lots of pictures! Is this your first time? I probably will find that out after i finish this and read some other blog entries realted to IRNP! If you haven’t found it already, check out isleroyaleforums.com. one of the better out there. anyway, my only suggestion to you about your trip is I don’t think you need all that rope to hang your pack. I’ve been there 4 time now (soon to be five!!!) and others I know don’t ever take it. nobody I know has ever had a problem. Where they have had problems is leaving their shoes or boots out. Definetely don’t do that! Many of Fox have stolen them, and that would really suck out there on the highest ridge , looking across to Canada, contemplating on wheter I should go try the Superior shore line for some monster Pike and Lakers or maybe head in towards an inland………….oh sorry, I drift off so often now!) Anyway, just a suggestion, Have a wonderful trip, I look forward to reading your trip report and veiwing your photographs! IRNP Forever! Ray D.
p.s. speaking of pike fishing, hit that Superior shore as best as the island will allow you for BIGGER pike, much bigger than inland lakes! Try Todd harbor, by a trail that goes to a nearby Mine. I believe the strong willed can get down towards the shore! good luck again! D minus 22 days

Hey Ray, thanks for the comment! It’s always good to hear from people who have been out on that trail. That’s good to know on the rope, but I think I have a good spot for it and it’s pretty light… and hell, who knows what else I might need it for? I’ll definitely keep the boots under wraps.
I’m looking forward to it like crazy, and maybe I’ll have pictures up before you head out so you can see trail conditions! Be sure to check back, and have fun on your trip.
